How to help
You (and your workplace, community group or business) can help to make people who have sought sanctuary here feel accepted and respected. You can help people who are not allowed to work and who receive little or no benefits meet their basic needs. You can challenge negative stereotypes and encourage organisations to which you belong to be accessible and welcoming for refugees and asylum seekers
I / we would like more information about:
□ Telling others about Leicester City of Sanctuary. Please send more information that I can pass on to family, friends, colleagues or contacts.
□ Organising a collection of essential food and basic supplies for destitute people who have come to this area, seeking sanctuary.
□ Advertising voluntary or paid work opportunities (people whose application for refugee status has not been decided are generally not allowed to do paid work).
□ Giving time (as a volunteer) or donating to Leicester City of Sanctuary
□ Inviting a speaker from Leicester City of Sanctuary (please tell us about the group that you would like to invite a speaker for)
