Keith and Ethel Burdett gave an interview for BBC Radio Sheffield’s Breakfast Show on 14th December, to talk about the house they have bought for destitute female asylum-seekers in Gleadless Valley. Keith told how the women call them ‘Mum and Dad’, and also gave City of Sanctuary a mention. It was a really positive piece of reporting, showing just how generous and hospitable local people can be.
